The Brisbane Broncos have not only hit top form at the business end of the season, but they have all their stars fit and ready to take on the Dragons this Saturday night at Suncorp Stadium.

“Everyone’s injury free, we have got no injuries from last [Saturday] night, so everyone’s healthy, which is a good case to go into the semis with,” assistant Broncos coach Allan Langer admitted on BigPond Sports Weekend.

The Broncos have struggled in recent years after the State of Origin period, often calling on ‘Baby Broncos’ to field a competitive side. The former Origin half declared his side was fit and ready to take on a wounded Dragons outfit.

“Especially after the Origin series, everyone’s come up good.

“The only injury at the moment is Benny Te’o. He has a bit of a calf [injury] and hopefully he will be back next week.”

Langer praised the Broncos’ form reversal following a much scrutinised mid-season meltdown.

“It was a bad, lean period we were going through but to the players’ credit they changed their attitudes, got their heads together and really had a dig in the last six weeks.”

Langer heaped praise on hulking front rower Dave Taylor and his amazing skills, highlighting him as a key man for the Broncos and their 2009 premiership aspirations.

“Everyone’s noticed the last four to five weeks he’s had a free reign out there [in the centres] and he loves running wide.

“The size he is, it’s amazing even at training how skillful and aerobic he is. He’s got great speed, he can kick off both feet.

“He is just a great athlete… Hopefully he can have a few more good ones for us.”

The Broncos will meet Wayne Bennett’s Dragons in what is shaping as a mouth watering affair this Saturday night. Big prop Dave Taylor clashing with the likes of tough defenders Ben Creagh and Jeremy Smith is sure to be one of the game’s great spectacles.

CLICK HERE to view the entire BSW interview.
