Dally M Captain of the Year Andrew Ryan has pin-pointed rampaging Eels prop Fuifui Moimoi as the man the Bulldogs need to stop if they hope to progress to the NRL grand final next week.

Going down 27-2 on Friday night, the Titans are undoubtedly still resting up and applying ice packs to their battered bodies after Moi Moi unleashed some of the most explosive and powerful hit-ups seen this year.

“He [Moimoi] played busted against us last time, he was in doubt and he still came out and killed us,” the Bulldogs captain admitted on Bigpond Sports Weekend.

“We need to do a really good job on him this week.”

Ryan admitted his side was committed to turning up in numbers to stop the tough front rower.

“You know what you’re going to get with him. He is just going to run as hard and as fast as he can at you.

“We just need to tuck in and be strong. Get our numbers in and try and slow him down. [We need to] be good at marker, get out early and try and do a job on him.”

The Dogs must not only contain Moimoi and flying fullback Jarryd Hayne - Feleti Mateo was also highlighted by Ryan as another danger man for the Bulldogs.

“They lost [Daniel] Mortimer the other night after four minutes and then for Mateo to come out, he’s a freak.”

Sharks five eighth Trent Barrett echoed Ryan’s assessment, singing the praises of the skilful bench utility.

“I think inside your twenty or ten metre line he is a huge danger because he is a lot bigger than people think.

“Ability wise and skill wise he’s not that far behind Jarryd Hayne. He just hasn’t really taken it to the next level, but you’d expect him to in the next 12 or 18 months.”

The Eels boast some of the game’s truly great players, both in the backline and in the forwards… but a well rested, Kimmorley-led Bulldogs outfit are certain to be stiff competition when they meet in an all-Sydney blockbuster on Friday night.

CLICK HERE to view the entire BSW interview.
