The NSWRL Integral Energy Western Sydney Rugby League Academy takes great pleasure in announcing Eels great Nathan Hindmarsh as the new face of Rugby League in the west.<br> <br> Nathan will begin his new placement in the coming months and will be working out of the academies offices at Penrith’s CUA Stadium for up to two days a week whilst continuing his playing career with the Parramatta Eels.<br> <br> The father of three has lived in the Hills Shire and played all his representative football and NRL matches as a Parramatta Eel. <br> <br> His duties with the WSA will see him working closely with Junior League and also Community Relations.<br> <br> Nathan also has ties to several media organisations, and through these ties Nathan will be presented with a wonderful platform to deliver our WSA messages.<br> <br> NRL CEO David Gallop said the appointment was an obvious one.<br> <br> "Nathan's the perfect fit for the position.<br> <br> "He's a hero not only to Parramatta fans but thousands of kids in the western suburbs who follow other teams.<br> <br> "I'm sure he'll inspire the next generation of youngsters to play rugby league. To have a current player giving up his time to be our face of the western suburbs is an extra bonus in the competition with the other code." <br> <br> The Test forward has long been regarded as one of the game's most popular players.
