Their team boasts some of the biggest names in the game, but on Wednesday, the NRL All Stars shared the limelight – and some waves – with two of the stars of world surfing when they hit the beach for a lesson from Joel Parkinson and Mark Occhilupo.

Parko and Occy took their charges through some basic moves on dry land before heading out to catch a few waves at Currumbin Alley – and judging from the footage / photos, they’re pretty good teachers.

Under the watchful eye of the champion surfers (and the lifeguards), the NRL All Stars showed off their newly learned tricks, keeping the local crowd and other beginner surfers entertained.
