With the start of the 2010 Telstra Premiership season now only a few days away, the NRL has continued to break new membership milestones.

After signing up the 100,000th ticketed member in the past few days, the game as a whole has now exceeded its combined 2009 membership total.

The record figure of 122,641 represents an 8% increase in total membership figures compared to the final 2009 figure, and with memberships still open until well within the season, the game has set its sights on even further membership growth.

Clubs which have enjoyed strong growth since last year include last years Grand Finalist, Eels, the Cronulla Sharks and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Ten of the sixteen premiership clubs are now ahead of their 2009 figures, whilst the Cowboys and Sea Eagles are both within striking distance.

Premiers, the Melbourne Storm have continued their strong membership growth, securing another 1000 members since the last ladder update.
