They lived out a childhood dream when they played together for the Kangaroos, but this week the Morris brothers will do something neither would have ever imagined growing up: playing against each other in the NRL.

The dynamic duo crossed the white line a total of 47 times in the Telstra Premiership last season, with Brett just edging out his older brother 25 tries to 22.

That was a friendly rivalry, but Friday night at WIN Stadium will mark the first time the seemingly inseparable twins will come up against each other head-to-head.

“There will definitely be words said if we come close to each other,” Josh said.

“We’ll probably bait each other through the week and try to get under each other’s skin.

“It’s all in good jest and hopefully it builds into a good game.”

With memories of backyard games flooding back, Brett was quick to give his sibling a bit of brotherly goading.

“He was a bit of a girl back then,” Brett laughed.

“I think these days he has grown up and he is a bit bigger than me, so I probably shouldn’t say that.”

The Dragons clash with the Bulldogs at WIN Stadium, Friday, 7:30pm Kick-off.
