Tickets for the Melbourne Storm’s first ever game in their new home, AAMI Park, are on sale NOW with the May 9 blockbuster clash against traditional foe the Brisbane Broncos sure to generate a bumper crowd.

Storm halfback Cooper Cronk, who had his first run on the AAMI Park surface with his teammates last Saturday in front of nearly 3,000 fans, is excited at the prospect of playing at the new ground for the first time.

“The atmosphere generated inside the stadium last Saturday by thousands of our fans, with the players and supporters so close to each other, was unbelievable. I just can’t wait to play inside this stadium in front of a massive crowd against the Broncos,” said Cronk.

“Every seat in the house is so close to the action, and it’s going to be one of the great experiences to play here when the Storm faithful give us that unrivalled vocal and passionate support they have always done.

“We had 24,000 fans at Etihad Stadium on Sunday night, and the noise they made was like nothing I’d heard before here in Melbourne, and if they can make that sort of noise being so far away from the action, I can only imagine what the atmosphere will be like in the new stadium with a big crowd.

“I simply can’t wait.”

Fans will be seated closer to the action than ever before in the 31,000 seat state-of-the-art stadium, providing a rugby league experience that will allow fans to hear every call from the players, and virtually 'feel' every tackle.

The Melbourne Storm will take on the Brisbane Broncos on Sunday, May 9 from 3.00pm, with the curtain raiser under-20’s clash to start at 12.45pm.

As a special offer to 2010 members for Storm’s home games, gates will open 15 minutes earlier than for the general public. At the Broncos game, gates will open at 12.30pm for 2010 members, while members of the public will be able to gain access from 12.45pm.
