Keep your eyes peeled on the field from Round 19 through to Round 21 as the NRL grass signage truly goes green, in support of National Tree Day!

As Australia’s biggest community tree planting event, Planet Ark’s National Tree Day is celebrated each year and to date, is responsible for the planting of more than 15 million native trees and shrubs by around two million volunteers over its 15 year history.

Supporters across the code for 2010 include Johnathan Thurston and the North Queensland Cowboys, as well as the Cronulla Sharks who will all be getting their hands dirty to remind the community of the importance of protecting our environment today, for tomorrow

“Because life is better with trees we should all get involved with Toyota and Planet Ark in this year’s National Tree Day. It’s a fun and simple way to make a positive impact on our local parks and community areas. To find out how you can make a difference head down to your local participating Toyota dealer or visit treeday.planetark.org,” said Thurston.

National Tree Day will be held on Sunday, August 1, with Schools Tree Day being celebrated on Friday, July 30 across the nation.

For more information, visit toyota.com.au/treeday or visit your local participating Toyota Dealership.
