Canberra Raiders centre Jarrod Croker's outstanding season of goalkicking has overshadowed his one heartbreaking missed penalty conversion in Friday night's semi-final loss to see him rewarded with selection in the Kangaroos Four Nations' train-on squad today.

Croker's late missed penalty goal from almost in front of the sticks, which cost the Raiders any chance of forcing golden point in their 26-24 semi-final loss to Wests Tigers, was a harsh end to a breakout year.

All Raiders players and officials refused to attribute any blame to the Goulburn junior for the loss and would applaud his well-deserved selection in the Australian VB Kangaroos squad alongside team-mates Josh Dugan, Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, Joel Monaghan and David Shillington.

Four Penrith players were also added following their loss to the Roosters on Saturday night - Petero Civoniceva, Michael Gordon, Michael Jennings, Luke Lewis.

Raiders co-captain Terry Campese and Penrith's Trent Waterhouse were not considered for selection in the train-on squad due to injury.
