Queensland's most successful Origin coach Mal Meninga has urged Queenslanders to get behind the Titans tomorrow night and turn Suncorp Stadium into an Origin-like cauldron for the Sydney Roosters in their Telstra Premiership Preliminary Final.

The two-time Canberra premiership-winning captain said that after watching his beloved Raiders bow out of contention last Friday night in their Semi-Final loss to the Tigers, he was happy to get behind the only Queensland team left in the Premiership race.

"The Titans will have a tough battle with the Roosters but they have a great coach who has been there before as a player; and they have speed; and experienced players in key positions.

"They will be the sentimental favourites. Certainly since the Broncos and Cowboys bowed out, the Titans have been on the tip of everyone's tongues in Queensland. I would definitely urge all Queenslanders to get behind them Origin-style."

Meninga, who led the Raiders to their first Grand Final victory in 1989 and again in 1990, joked that he could be banned from future important Raiders games.

"I think I am a bad luck charm for them," he said. "I went to four games this year and they lost all of them."

Meninga is on his way to Cairns today to prepare the Prime Minister's XIII side for their clash with the Kumuls in Papua New Guinea on Sunday.
