The NRL will today break new ground by releasing Australia’s first ever Grand Final iphone app specifically for the NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final, giving rugby league fans the chance to be part of the Grand Final action like never before.
The official NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final app for iphone gives fans a new and exciting way to experience all the thrills of the Grand Final including live scores, player profiles and videos of the greatest Grand Final moments and player profiles, statistics, team news and updates on Grand Final Day matches.
The application will also provide detailed news and photo galleries for all Telstra Premiership Grand Final Week events including the One Community Awards, Men of League Ball, Grand Final Breakfast and Grand Final Fan Party at the Sydney Opera House forecourt.
“The official Grand Final iphone application provides the NRL with a great opportunity to use new technology to improve our fans’ experience of Grand Final week and the 2010 NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final,” said NRL Director of Strategic Projects Shane Mattiske.
“We are excited to be treading new ground in Australia by releasing an iphone app focused specifically on a one-off major sporting event – the NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final.
“This app complements the official NRL iphone application which was released earlier this year and which comprehensively covers the entire Telstra Premiership season.
“It also sits alongside the extensive coverage provided by NRL.com and the Big League official Grand Final program to ensure every fan’s Grand Final information needs are covered.”
The official Telstra Premiership Grand Final App is available now for $1.19 from the iTunes Apple App Store – just search for ‘NRL Final’.
