Jack Reed has been in the NRL All Stars team just a few hours but already teammate Justin Hodges has started the pre-match banter.

Reed was today installed as the Broncos' lone representative in the NRL All Stars, after winning a poll from fans.

The irony is however that Reed, usually a left centre, is likely to directly oppose a host of teammates.

If he stays on the left, he is likely to face Indigenous All Star left-side players Hodges, Sam Thaiday and Jharal Yow Yeh.

And Hodges let him know what to expect.

"It will be a good game with him out there," said Reed.

"He's already started a bit of banter, saying he is going to take me back to school and then end my career out there.

"But I will just try and rush up and put a shot on him."

Reed continues to be surprised by his rise to prominence,

"I didn't expect anything like this - the opportunity to play in an All Stars game is a huge honour," he said.
