The NRL Match review committee reviews every game and analyses all of the incidents from the Round. This week Greg McCallum looks at the players who were not charged over the weekend.

Adam Blair – Blair made minor contact with his arm to the head/neck of Dragons winger Jason Nightingale, who was dropping and turning from the impact of another defender. There was clear contact on the shoulder of Nightingale which was simultaneous with the contact to the head/neck.

Trent Merrin – Merrin made contact with his arm to the back of the head/neck of Beau Ryan who twisted and dropped into the tackle. The incident could have been penalised, but was not worthy of any further action.

Sam McKendry – McKendry was put on report for contact with his shoulder to the hip of South’s kicker Adam Reynolds. It is a serious offence to dive at the legs of a kicker, but in this instance McKendry is attempting to make a tackle and not targeting the lower part of the kicker’s legs. We believed a penalty was sufficient in this case.

Aiden Tolman – Tolman made minimal contact with his arm to the head/neck of James Maloney. This tackle didn’t warrant any further action with the on-field penalty sufficient.
