Membership numbers released today by the NRL reveal the game is closing in on a record 200,000 members in the game.
Currently the game enjoys 198,887 members, which represents a 14% increase from the 2011 total membership figure, whilst 9 of the 16 clubs have already surpassed their 2011 final numbers.
The Broncos and Rabbitohs lead the way, with both boasting over 20,000 members each, while the Panthers, Warriors and Knights have all enjoyed significant increases from last season.
