Penrith Panthers v Cronulla Sharks
Round 3, 2011
Centrebet Stadium

Round 3, 2011 was the most recent meeting of these teams – and it was all one-way traffic at Centrebet Stadium. On the back of an upset victory over the Dragons the week before, Cronulla belted Penrith 44-12 in a forgettable night for the home side.

It was a rare attacking showcase from the Sharks, scoring seven tries to two in an unlikely victory. Now-ousted five-eighth Albert Kelly performed strongly for the visitors with two tries, as did fullback Nathan Gardner and former Panther Wade Graham. However, for the Sharks the sweet taste of victory was short lived – following the win at Penrith, the Sharks lost five consecutive matches.
