St George Illawarra Dragons National Youth Competition centre Adam Quinlan says he is ready to dig in and do his part ahead of the clash against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval on Friday.

The Culburra junior was amongst the thick of things from the inside edge for the Red-and-Whites in their 30-24 victory over the Parramatta Eels at WIN Jubilee Oval, Kogarah last round.

The centre is thrilled by his current opportunities on the field and has stated his intention now is to grow as a player and learn what he can.

“Overall I was happy with my performance, but there are still a lot of areas I want to work on, like my readings in defence and building combinations with the players on my side of the field,” said Quinlan.

“I’ve played a couple of different positions in the games that I’ve played, so I’ve just got to adapt to whatever position I’m selected in and learn from the coaches.

“Everyone around camp is really happy after finally getting a win and it really showed in the way we sung the team song after the game.

“We know Manly will be coming out really fired up with their home ground advantage and we’ll have to be prepared.”
