NSW VB Blues coach Ricky Stuart has today met with ARLC General Manager of Football Operations, Mr Nathan McGuirk, and Referees Coaches Bill Harrigan and Stuart Raper in advance of the second Harvey Norman State of Origin Series game at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday night.

NSWRL General Manager, Mr Geoff Carr, and Blues Senior Advisor, Mr Bob Fulton, joined Stuart at Rugby League Central in reviewing a number of issues from the opening match in Melbourne.

“It was a positive discussion with the referees,” Stuart said today.

“There are always going to be issues in a match that you want to discuss and that you want to understand for the next time you play.

“That is what happens with coaches from week to week in the Telstra Premiership and it is an important part of the Origin process as well.

“I thought it was a productive meeting and I thank Nathan, Bill and Stuart for the opportunity.”

ARLC General Manager of Football, Mr Nathan McGuirk, confirmed that Queensland has been offered the same opportunity: “It is important that coaches have an opportunity to provide feedback over refereeing and that is something that happens each week in the Telstra Premiership,” he said.
