After losing five matches in a row the Melbourne Storm juggernaut that terrorised the rest of the competition for the first 12 rounds has jumped back into gear with a resounding win over the Panthers.

Tonight on NRL Daily we take a look at the Storm's big three of Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk and consider if their performance against the Panthers should be a warning to the rest of the competition.

"How good are they," says Brad Fittler who can't believe how easily the Panthers let the Storm control the ruck.

"When those blokes are together you've got to be on high alert, it's like a training drill for them."

Fittler is also vocal on another topic close to his heart...coaching the NSW Blues in State of Origin.

"Geoff Carr is aware that I'd love to do the job," says Fittler who is the most capped NSW player in Origin history.

"I'd be honoured to coach the Blues, I'm not sure where Phil Gould stands at the moment with his commitment to Penrith and Channel 9, he has a few jobs at the moment so I'm not sure where Gus is at."

Also on tonight's show Gibbsy and Freddy debate whether the Dragons got it right or wrong in picking Nathan Fien at five-eighth instead of Jamie Soward.
