Every fan at Suncorp Stadium this Friday night will become part of history as they are immortalised in an on-field photo with retiring great Petero Civoniceva at the end of the Broncos-Panthers game.

Fans at the match will get to join legend Civoniceva on the Suncorp Stadium turf after fulltime.

In a deal done with the government authority Queensland Stadiums and Suncorp Stadium management, the crowd will be invited down on to the field to participate in the presentation for the former Panther and Bronco prop.

It is an honour only bestowed once before, to retiring Broncos’ skipper Darren Lockyer last year, the crowd will form part of the official duties.

Each person at the game will become part of history when one of the largest group photos ever taken in Brisbane is set up at the end of formalities.

The night is set to be a huge one for the Broncos club and rugby league in general.

“Locky spoke about this and said that standing on that field with all the fans was the most enjoyable moment of his career,” said Broncos’ chief executive Paul White.

“That is special when you think about all that he has achieved.

“We really hope we get a big crowd along and this leaves a lasting memory for Petero, one that he richly deserves.”

It has been a busy month for Civoniceva, who also took a turn starring in the Broncos’ 2013 membership campaign.

In the specially-produced video, Civoniceva plays a waiter at a party for the Broncos’ 25th year.

Watchers are invited to put in their name and mobile phone number, those details becoming part of the video as they are contacted on their mobile almost immediately by a Broncos’ player, ex-player or coach.

Broncos membership for season 2013 is also now open – all the options available here: http://www.broncos.com.au/helpmechoose.
