The NRL.com ladder predictor has been in overdrive this week as fans have been trying to determine the final make-up of the top eight and top four, and see who will play who in week one of the Telstra Premiership final series.

Tonight on NRL Daily, hosts John Gibbs and Trent Barrett give their predictions for how the final top eight will appear after Round 26.

“I’m thinking the best chance for a change in the top eight is for Souths to drop out of the top four,” says Gibbs. “They are the side under the most pressure.”

The Rabbitohs are up against the Knights, who will play in front of a parochial home crowd on their traditional ‘Old Boys’ night in Newcastle.

“If the Rabbitohs do lose it will give the Cowboys something to play for,” says Gibbs. “It will give them a golden opportunity to sneak right into the top four and I think they can beat the Sharks at Toyota Stadium.”

Will the Rabbitohs taste defeat and miss out on a top four finish? Let us know your thoughts on twitter @NRL_Daily.

Also on tonight’s show we give you the ‘Good Oil’ for Round 26 and bring you a one-on-one injury update with Tigers rookie James Tedesco, who was injured in Round 1 this season.
