The Telstra Premiership Trophy will arrive at ANZ Stadium in a helicopter but the best way for fans to make their way to Sunday’s NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final is via public transport.

With a sell-out crowd of more than 82,000 people to converge on ANZ Stadium for NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final Day, all fans are urged to plan their trip and arrive early to enjoy the game-day celebrations – including the first ever NRL Grand Final carnival precinct.

More than two kilometres of temporary fencing will be erected around ANZ Stadium to create a carnival precinct featuring interactive games, rides, live music, a merchandise supercentre, family areas, food stalls and Grand Final team bars.

The project is a partnership between the NRL, ANZ Stadium and the NSW Government with all ticket holders to the Telstra Premiership Grand Final having the freedom to move in and out of ANZ Stadium and the entertainment precinct to enjoy the carnival atmosphere as well as all the Rugby League Grand Final action.

Gates to the precinct will open at 10am and to the stadium at 11.45am.

“The precinct activities provide a perfect opportunity for families to beat the rush and come out to the ground early and soak up the Grand Final atmosphere,” NRL Interim Chief Executive, Mr Shane Mattiske, said today.

“We have three exciting matches and an award-winning entertainment line-up headlined by Good Charlotte, so there will be plenty to enjoy in the countdown to the big game between the Bulldogs and Storm.”

All NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final tickets include travel on public transport to and from ANZ Stadium with major event travel services operating throughout the day and night.

Fans are reminded to keep their tickets for their return journey, as customers must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport.
