From the Coogee Dolphins to the Australian Kangaroos, Rugby League teams from all levels of the game will wear a unified logo that brings the sport together with a consistent theme.

The video embedded in this article explains the new look for Rugby League and why it is an important step in the Australian Rugby League Commission’s five-year strategic plan launched today.

The video identifies the key elements of the logo and the history that has been incorporated into the design dating back to the inception of Rugby League in 1908.

From the shield and chevrons that are synonymous with league, to the Southern Cross and the green and gold, the new logo represents the past while celebrating the future.

From grassroots Rugby League clubs all the way to the highest level, the new design will recognise all those who play the game and unite them under one banner.
