Wests Tigers stars will deliver the NRL’s new anti-bullying campaign to more than 11,000 students at 34 schools tomorrow as Rugby League’s biggest ever Community Carnival reaches Western Sydney.

Players including Braith Anasta, James Tedesco, Tim Moltzen and Jack Buchanan will visit schools including Macquarie Fields Public School and Macarthur Adventist, armed with resources to help combat bullying.

“It seems like yesterday that I was in high school myself, I can very clearly remember the challenges that school kids face,” said Campbelltown local, Tedesco.

“Bullying is one of the most difficult issues in the classroom today, so we’re keen to speak with Western Sydney students face-to-face tomorrow to discuss how to tackle this problem and boost their self-esteem.”

After an extensive local blitz in the Gold Coast area on Saturday, six players from the Titans, including Mark Minichiello and Dave Taylor, will tomorrow head south to the Northern Rivers region of NSW for three days to continue their Community Carnival visits.

Players from the Bulldogs will begin their tour of Rockhampton tomorrow, travelling 1400km north of their Western Sydney home-ground to visit more than 15 schools in the region over three days.

Other NRL Clubs making Community Carnival visits tomorrow include the Broncos (South West, QLD), Cowboys (Charters Towers, QLD), Knights (Singleton, NSW), Rabbitohs (Riverina, NSW), Roosters (Central West, NSW) and Sharks (Sutherland, NSW).

Throughout Community Carnival, more than 350 NRL players from all 16 Clubs will deliver 25,000 anti-bullying banner pens, 10,000 water bottles, 3,200 bags, pencil cases and stationery sets, 30,000 wrist bands and 150,000 player and ambassador cards.
