The South Australian Rugby League 2013 Season kicks off this weekend with the Schweppes Pre-Season Knockout Cup at Dry Creek Oval.

Saturday March 23 will see nine teams from all nine SARL clubs battle it out for the Schweppes Knockout Cup.

“This is Schweppes third year on board,” SARL General Manager Ken Kennedy says, “It promises to be a great competition and start to the 2013 season.”

Eels Rugby League Club (RLC) will host the competition that sees the first official SARL game for the new Adelaide Rugby League Referees Association and new Club, the TEC Titans (Port Pirie & Spencer Gulf).

“The SARL and its clubs welcome the Adelaide Rugby League Referees Association and the TEC Titans to the competition,” SARL Competition Coordinator Wayne Sellars says.

“All clubs, players and officials are itching to get started again.”

The Schweppes Knockout competition will kick-off at 10am with Tigers RLC verse South Adelaide RLC.

The blockbuster game will be played at 11.30am between South RLC (3rd in 2012) and Northern Districts RLC (2nd in 2012).
