Robbie Farah v Cam Smith at Origin level.
Untitled Document

Robbie Farah told the official Big League State of Origin program that he wants Cam Smith’s Australian jersey. His argument is that in sport, you should always aim to be the best and at the moment, Cam Smith is undeniably the best, not to mention Australian captain. But Farah’s goal to surpass him is more about his own personal performance than a slight on Smith.

Check out the Origin teams brought to you by Powerade.

While Farah won a premiership in 2005, was named Hooker of the Year in 2007, 2010 and has represented NSW and Australia, Smith was won a premiership, was named Hooker of the year in ‘06, ‘08, ’11 and ’12, is also a Golden Boot winner and has a World Club challenge and numerous State of Origin titles to his name.  Smith is a consistent performer at the top level, Farah wants to establish himself in the same vein.

There is little doubt Cam Smith is one of the premier players of the modern era and controls the game like few others. It is where Farah wants to be.

The head-to-head statistics in the Origin arena are almost identical.

The main difference between the two is that Farah has only one win from five starts in State of Origin, Smith has 17 wins from 27 appearances.
