The long run of outs for the Knights in Melbourne was extended even further when the Storm led all the way to win 34-22 at AAMI Park in Round 5 of last season.

The Knights, who hadn’t won in the Victorian capital since 2004, looked like scoring first when Jarrod Mullen put Timana Tahu into the clear, but the Storm scrambled well enough to stop the try and soon after the attack was heading the other way.

Cooper Cronk produced a 40/20 kick, Gareth Widdop scored off the ensuing set and the Storm had begun the process.

The home side led 16-6 at halftime and turned the screws to be in front 28-6 midway through the second half.

The Knights scored several late tries to make the scoreline look a little better.

Storm fullback Billy Slater continued his early-season rush of tries, grabbing one on this occasion to take his total to nine from the first five rounds.
