Benji Marshall and Aaron Woods starred as the Tigers scored seven tries in a 40-0 thrashing of the Raiders in Round 13 last season.

Marshall was heavily involved in the lead-up to four of the tries, and Woods and fellow prop Keith Galloway led the forward charge that created the space in which Marshall and hooker Robbie Farah could use their tricks.

The Tigers scored 20 points in each half to add to the pressure Raiders coach David Furner was already under. It was the worst defeat the Raiders had sustained at Canberra Stadium, and captain David Shillington admitted “our goal-line defence was pretty soft tonight”.

The Raiders made far too many mistakes when they had the ball, as well. It was the sixth straight win for the Tigers, who rose to fourth on the competition table.
