Benji Marshall has delivered a heartfelt address to Wests Tigers fans outlining the reasons for his decision to leave the club he has been a part of for the past 11 years.
In an emotion-charged message on Thursday, Marshall maintained his decision to exit Concord was not based on money.
He acknowledged his departure would not please a lot of fans - but added with a laugh that others would welcome his leaving.
Marshall also expressed a desire to return to the Wests Tigers after his retirement to potentially assume an ongoing role with the development of the club.
