Two tries in the opening 10 minutes laid the platform for the Bulldogs’ 20-16 win against the Eels in Round 2 earlier this season. In fact, in this match all the points were scored in the first half!

Canterbury secured the victory despite an inferior efficiency rating (84 per cent against the Eels’ 87) and usual sharpshooter Krisnan Inu landing just two of five attempts at goal.

For the Eels, Jarryd Hayne ran for a team-high 158 metres, while Aiden Tolman laid a winning platform for the Bulldogs with 162 metres and 25 tackles in just 50 minutes on the field.
