| Rugby League supporters have the chance to share in a record prize pool of more than $110,000 in the 2013 Holden Monster Raffle while raising much-needed funds in an NRL initiative that has delivered more than $2 million for grassroots Rugby League Clubs in the past six years. Since its inception in 2007, more than 600 clubs have benefitted from the Monster Raffle which enables junior clubs nationwide to raise money without having to undertake labour-intensive fund-raising methods which often have minimal return. Tickets can be bought online at www.rugbyleague.com.au/monsterraffle with every dollar spent going back to a grassroots Rugby League Club of the purchaser’s choice. The major prize-winners will accept the keys to their Holden vehicles at half-time of the Holden Cup Grand Final as part of the on-field entertainment at the 2013 NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final Day at ANZ Stadium in October. NRL Interim General Manager of Community, Culture and Diversity, Mr Mark deWeerd, said: “Monster Raffle is a fantastic but simple concept that makes a big difference to our grassroots clubs. “The number of clubs who have benefited from the Monster Raffle since it started six years ago continues to grow and we are grateful to Holden for their support of this initiative in 2013.” |
