An early assault led the Cowboys to an emphatic 30-0 victory against the Panthers in Round 5 earlier this year.

North Queensland led 24-0 at halftime in the game played at 1300SMILES Stadium – and from there the game was as good as over.

For the home side, forwards James Tamou (203 metres) and Scott Bolton (182 metres) laid the platform, before Matt Bowen and Johnathan Thurston (two try assists each) ran amuck.

The Cowboys’ dominance was significant, reflected in their total-metres-gained statistic – they ran for 1605 metres, almost 600 metres more than the Panthers.
