The Knights ruined Cowboys superstar Johnathan Thurston's 200th game celebrations at Hunter Stadium in Round 3.

The Cowboys began well and led 6-0 after 10 minutes but that finished their scoring for the night. After that it was all one-way traffic from the home side, who led 14-6 at halftime and ended up thrashing the visitors 34-6.

Halfback Tyrone Roberts, who was elevated from the bench to the starting side for this match in the absence of the injured Kurt Gidley, had a wow of a game for the Knights, with two line-breaks, one try and one try assist. Plus, he kicked five goals from seven attempts to bump his points tally out to 14.

Knights winger Akuila Uate was unstoppable, running for 165 metres and having one line-break, two offloads, two tries and one try assist.

Playing off the bench, David Fa'alogo helped get it going through the forwards for the Knights by running for 151 metres. Kade Snowden, with 134, and Robbie Rochow, 124, also contributed heavily to ensure the Cowboys were usually on the back foot.
