NRL Match Official Steve Carrall will become the most-capped Touch Judge in the game’s history on Saturday.
Carrall, who is part of the Match Officials team for the Warriors-Raiders match in Auckland, will officiate his 326th first grade game, passing the mark of 325 set by Steve Betts and Steve Chiddy.
“On behalf of all the Match Officials I want to congratulate Steve on achieving a remarkable milestone,” NRL Referees Elite Performance Manager, Mr Daniel Anderson,” said today.
“It is a credit to Steve’s professionalism and expertise that he has been able to perform with distinction at the elite level over such a long period of time.”
Carrall made his NRL debut in Round 8 of 2000 in the match between the Cowboys and Sea Eagles and his gone on to be a Touch Judge in the 2003, 2005 and 2006 NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Finals as well 14 State of Origins, two City-Country games and three Test matches.
He has also officiated in the NRL as a referee on two occasions and as a video referee on 23 occasions.
