Former Queensland State of Origin representative Michael Crocker says that North Queensland's claims of bias against Queensland teams during the NRL finals are over the top.

Crocker told SportsFan's Clubhouse that he felt for the Cowboys, who had been on the wrong end of refereeing howlers in two successive finals campaigns, but didn't think there was an anti-Queensland agenda in play.

"It is a bit over the top to call it a conspiracy theory because it was the Sharks' first try of the match," Crocker said. "It wasn't intentionally there to sort the result of the game."
