Cronulla captain Paul Gallen has scoffed at suggestions the club could be relocated to central Queensland.

News Limited reported that the club could expect a $2m fine from the NRL once the ASADA investigation was concluded, leaving the club in a parlous financial state, with relocation the only hope of survival.

Gallen told SportsFan's Clubhouse that while it was still impossible to comment about potential penalties from the ASADA investigation, the club was getting itself in a good financial position.
