The Warriors handed the inaugural Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines a 'high voltage' jolt when they became the first club to unveil their colours for the blockbuster tournament at Eden Park on February 15-16.
Sam Tomkins continued his week-long promotional visit at Eden Park by revealing the Canterbury of New Zealand-designed 'High Voltage' kit. The launch of the strip coincidentally came only three hours after Tomkins had met Canterbury of New Zealand management and staff at the club sponsor's new premises in Avondale.
The electric blue jersey is sure to be a standout among the other 15 NRL clubs during the two-day NRL Auckland Nines extravaganza.
Tomkins, who has been keeping up a hectic schedule since arriving in Auckland on Monday, was excited about putting on his new club's kit for the first time.
"I'm really looking forward to the NRL Nines. It's going to be a great event at an impressive stadium," he said.
"I've played here before for England (during the 2010 Four Nations) and I'm certainly hoping I'll be playing here again for the Vodafone Warriors in the Nines and then in the three games we have at Eden Park early in the NRL season."
