Rising star Jack Stockwell has re-signed with the St George Illawarra Dragons.

The St George Illawarra Dragons announced on Friday that prop Jack Stockwell has agreed to terms on a contract extension that will see him remain at the Club until at least the end of 2017.

The Picton Magpies junior is a graduate of both the Dragons High Performance Unit and National Youth Competition team where he was named in the NYC "Team of the Year" for 2012.

Stockwell, 21, made his first-grade debut that same season against the South Sydney Rabbitohs and was additionally selected for both the Junior Kangaroos and NSW Blues U20 State of Origin teams.

Stockwell, 21, has made 23 first-grade appearances to date for the Dragons and is focused on adding to that tally with his long-term playing future now secured.

"I am thankful for the opportunity to continue my development with the Dragons," said Stockwell.

"The decision was a fairly simple one to make in the end, having progressed through the Club's various youth teams, and I look forward to being a part of the Club's future."
