Manly prop Richie Fa'aoso is yet to make a decision on his future following a career-threatening neck injury caused during the Sea Eagles' finals campaign last season.

Fa'aoso had been diagnosed with a fractured vertebrae following Manly's win over South Sydney in the 2013 preliminary finals and tests have since revealed he risks a more serious injury if he continues to play rugby league, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

The Sea Eagles released a statement on Thursday saying Fa'aoso had yet to make a formal decision about whether he would play on.

Fa'aoso's departure would end a 10-year career spanning six NRL clubs, plus a season in the English Super League and 10 internationals for Tonga.

It would also increase pressure on Manly's weakened forward pack following the exits of Brent Kite, George Rose, Joe Galuvao and David Gower.
