Skipper Michael Ennis will today lead a full Bulldogs squad to visit 32 schools in their local Canterbury-Bankstown community as they launch their 2014 NRL Community Carnival campaign, delivering the game’s powerful “Tackle Bullying” program.
Meanwhile the Rabbitohs, who beat the Bulldogs 28-20 in their first 2014 NRL trial game yesterday, will complete a second day of Community Carnival visits in Albury and Wodonga in regional NSW today.
Rivals yesterday, the Rabbitohs and Bulldogs will be united today in their aim to empower students to cope with difficult social situations using the new “Tackle Bullying” educational resources developed by the NRL in conjunction with the Australian Catholic University (ACU) and leading psychologist, Dr Elizabeth Seeley-Wait.
The NRL Community Carnival is widely recognised as the largest community program in Australian sport, and is expected to deliver the “Tackle Bullying” program to almost 300,000 children this month.
