Warriors forward Dominique Peyroux is likely to miss the season-opener after being the first player charged by the match review committee in 2014.
The second-rower was charged with a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact - Unnecessary Head/Neck Pressure in the Warriors' trial loss to the Titans last Sunday.
An early guilty plea will mean he misses one match, but if he fights the charge and loses, he will be outed for two games.
Peyroux, who was named and is still eligible to play in the Auckland Nines this weekend, is also free to play in the club's trial against Brisbane on February 23. But should he contest the charge and be found guilty, he would miss their first game of the season against Parramatta and the Round 2 clash with the Dragons at Eden Park.
Two players from the Holden Cup - Wests Tigers' Hayden Johnson (shoulder charge) and Craig McMurrich (dangerous throw) - have also been charged over their respective trial games on the weekend.
