Wigan Warriors forward Eddy Pettybourne has been issued with a Grade B charge (High Tackle - Reckless) by the WCC Match Review Panel for his high shot on Roosters winger Shaun Kenny-Dowall last Saturday night.

The former Tiger will receive a two-match suspension if found guilty, but can lower his penalty to one game if he enters an early guilty plea.

What's the biggest upset in finals footy?

Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later.

The sentencing is in accordance with the RFL rules because Pettybourne is a current Warriors player.

The WCC Match Review Committee was comprised of Michael Buettner from the NRL and Steve Ganson from the RFL.

The Roosters took out the World Club Challenge with a dominant 36-14 win over Wigan last Saturday night.
