Manly stars say they are relishing the opportunity to take on Wests Tigers at their spiritual home of Leichhardt Oval, a venue not dissimilar in atmosphere to Brookvale.

Manly prop Jason King returns from a one-match suspension to face the Tigers and says the Sea Eagles are expecting the side to bounce back strongly from their loss to the Warriors a week earlier.

"From all reports they've been playing some good football. They're going to be back at home at Leichhardt  this week, it's similar to Brookvale Oval, we really relish the fact that we get to play them there," King said.

"I personally love playing at grounds like Brookvale and grounds like Leichhardt, it's a fantastic spectacle. You're nice and close to the fans and it really feels like authentic rugby league. I know the rest of the boys are feeling similar types of thoughts."

King's fellow prop Brenton Lawrence was just as forthcoming in expressing his love for the suburban battle grounds.

"They're the games the fans love," he said.

"They're all packed in there and really vocal, they're the games that I love to play in as well. They're just like your Sunday footy games. It's something we're looking forward to and hopefully [we can] keep our good form going."

Lawrence said he did not expect the Tigers would be too distracted by their loss.

"We had a loss to at the start of the season – every side's got that in them, its only the start of the season, every side's trying to find their feet," he said.

"They're a quality side and we'll certainly be looking at that this weekend."
