Halfback Peter Wallace might be the co-captain at Penrith, but he's still unsure which of his new teammates are morning people.
Considering they've played five of their seven games under the nose of that illuminating panther this year, we'll give him a pass.
But with the Panthers due to embark on the longest road trip of any NRL team this season, Wallace expects to know a lot more about this improving squad on and off the field by the time they return.
Penrith travel to Cronulla this week, visit Newcastle and Canberra over the following fortnight, and then end the month with a Round 11 bye. They host Parramatta in their Round 12 return to Sportingbet Stadium.
"When you play away, it is good because you're all in the one place at the one time which you don't get very much when you're at home," Wallace said.
"You're at training, but then everyone goes home or whatever. We're a new team, so it'd be good to spend a couple of weeks away with the boys. A bit of bonding [will] be good."
Second-rower Elijah Taylor said he's looking forward to some quality time with his teammates, although nothing could compare to the chaotic away trips in his time with the Warriors.
"Credit to our management, our coaching staff, we had a big off-season, we got away a couple of weekends together and as a team we got to know one another," he said.
"But the away trips, I'm looking forward to them. We've only had one this year really. I'm used to flying everywhere every second weekend. When we play Parramatta, it's just down the road. It doesn't really feel like an away trip for me.
"Back at the Warriors, an away trip was four days away from home. So we're pretty lucky here, Sydney-based club, games are just down the road."
Wallace said the extra time as a squad would benefit an attack ranked second last in total points so far this season. They're also yet to record back-to-back victories in 2014.
"The last two weeks hasn't helped us, working on our combinations because the weather obviously made it a little bit hard to attack," he said.
"[Monday's game against the Titans] was a little bit better I thought and we just need to keep building. It's not where we want it, obviously. But I thought Titans defended very well to their credit as well. I thought we went alright, but obviously room for improvement."
