1980: Kerry Boustead scores first Origin try for Qld

NSW fans would've had an eerie sense of déjà-vu when Maroons winger Kerry Boustead dived over for Queensland's first try in the Origin arena, having scored a similar four-pointer when he lined up in the sky blue and scored a hat-trick against the Cane Toads just 12 months earlier. Finishing off a slick backline move that shifted the ball from one sideline to the other, Boustead had too much pace for opposite number Greg Brentnall to run in for a try that put Queensland on the front foot after half an hour of play and on their way to an historic victory.
