10. Game One, 1984: Kerry Boustead scores Queensland's first hat-trick
Just one game after Chris Anderson scored the first ever Origin hat-trick. One of Queensland's finest struck back with three tries of his own in the 1984 series opener at the Cauldron. Boustead was Johnny on the spot for the first in collecting a spilled Wally Lewis bomb, Boustead treated a raucous crowd to a sight synonymous with the little man, pinning the ears back from 40 metres out and flying past the Blues cover defence. His third came again from a pin-point cross field kick by man of the match Lewis, icing the Maroons sixth win from seven starts on home turf and setting them on the way to another series victory.
