NSW VB Blues coach Laurie Daley has called on fans to turn Sydney’s ANZ Stadium into a blue fortress – and they are answering the call with almost 10,000 tickets snapped up since last night’s match.

Following strong sales leading into last night’s game, the Blues’ enthralling victory over the Maroons has sparked another rush for tickets to Game II on June 18 with more than 70,000 tickets now sold for the match.

“The boys were so courageous in Brisbane last night and I think everyone in NSW is taking great pride in their performance,” Daley said.

“But we know we will need to be even better in Sydney and our fans can make the difference.

“It is the only match we have in Sydney this year and we want to create a special atmosphere that shows everyone how much Origin means to the people of NSW.”

While ticket sales for both the remaining Origin matches have been strong, good seats are still available and fans are encouraged to secure their seats now from Ticketek on 132 849, at Ticketek outlets or online.

Tickets for a potential decider at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium on July 9 are also on sale now.
