It is not a good feeling when you end 80 minutes of football with a big fat donut next to your name.
And last week it was that very sinking feeling Melbourne had to endure following their 22-0 loss to the Cowboys.
However you could grant them a pass, just for that week, given they lost their most influential playmaker and arguably the best half in the game less than 72 hours before kickoff.
Cooper Cronk has left the most glaring of holes in the middle of the park for Melbourne, a hole will not close for at least another two months.
It is a loss the players admit does hurt the side.
"Obviously last week we were disappointed with our attack," Storm prop Bryan Norrie said.
"Losing Cooper Cronk is massive to any team and it's massive to us because he is so vocal with what he is doing out on the training paddock and out on the field.
"He is the most dominant half in the comp and the most dominant halfback I've ever played with."
Skipper Cameron Smith helped fill the void last week but will move back to his customary hooker position with Ben Roberts to play halfback when the Sydney Roosters come to town on Sunday.
Tohu Harris has been named to partner Roberts at five-eighth, a position the versatile Kiwi played in the May Test against Australia.
The untried halves pairing will be thrown into a baptism of fire against the reigning premiers who have won five of their past six games.
Harris could be forgiven for feeling somewhat uneasy wearing the purple No.6 jersey given the hex it seems to possess this season.
Cody Walker, Ben Hampton, Joel Romelo and Roberts have all succumbed to injury or suspension at some stage during the year, with Romelo still a month away from returning from an ankle injury.
However Norrie believes the run of bad luck in the five-eighth slot is over and Harris is the man to break the curse.
"Tohu is an extreme athlete, he's got such a cool head," said Norrie.
"He is a quiet-spoken lad but he is talking up a lot at training and out on the field. It's not a position he is used to but he will do a really good job."
The Storm take on the Roosters at 3pm this Sunday at AAMI Park.
