46. Game One, 2013: Michael Jennings's try
With a new coach in Laurie Daley and a squad featuring four debutants in Blake Ferguson, James Maloney, Andrew Fifita and Josh Reynolds, the Blues shot out of the blocks in Game One at a near-capacity ANZ Stadium, with Michael Jennings' brilliant individual try three minutes out from the break the capstone on a whirlwind first half from NSW. Seizing on a Robbie Farah grubber that had rebounded off the Maroons defence, Jennings first accelerated past two pursuers before making a bee line for the white stripe, jinking, ducking and weaving his way through despite the efforts of Cooper Cronk, Billy Slater and Corey Parker to send the Blues into the sheds up 14-0, a lead they stoutly defended to claim the 2013 series opener.
