66. Game One, 2006: Brett Finch field goal wins game for NSW
First Craig Gower went down injured then Matt Orford. Andrew Johns and Trent Barrett couldn't be bothered coming out of representative retirement fixture so it left one man. Enter Brett Finch. With New South Wales chasing their fourth consecutive series win Finch was giving the task of spearheading the Blues attack at halfback, but he did more than that. With a minute left in the game and the scores tied at 16-all, Finch was giving the ball from captain Danny Buderus 35 metres out from his own try-line and kicked over one of the smoothest field goals you're ever likely to see to win the game.
