73. Game Three, 1986: A late Michael O’Connor goal gives NSW the first sweep in Origin history.

While Queensland will always hold the glory of winning the first four years of the Origin concept, they will never be able to take away the first ever clean sweep from New South Wales – the first of any state to do so. While it wouldn't be as dramatic as his sideline conversation five years after, sharpshooter Michael O'Connor was able to push over a penalty conversation to push the score out to 18-16. While it would end in controversial circumstances with Queensland appearing to have score the game winning try referee Kevin Roberts called full-time ensuring a NSW 3-0 series win.
